Thank you for your kind comments on my last post. It was comforting to know that other people have been through the same thing and come out the other side.
On Friday last week, I took part in a charity craft sale at work for Children in Need with my good friend, Anniebead. You can read her account of the day here. She donated some of her amazing beaded jewellery and I made some Christmas cards. Neither of us are that confident in our crafting, so we didn’t expect to sell anything. I’m pleased to say that her jewellery went like hot cakes and I sold 25 Christmas cards.
I was amazed that people liked what I had made and they were prepared to part with money to buy my cards (which were £1 each). I feel honoured that people have chosen my cards to send to friends and relatives. We’ve been thinking of taking a stall at the local craft/vintage market and the craft fair was a useful exercise. It proved to both of us that people might buy our things and that we could do it, ill health allowing.
I’m addicted to the new series of The Killing which started last weekend. What about you? I’m loving the red jumper (although mourning the indestructable jumper from series 1). There was a knitting pattern for a ‘Killing jumper’ in the Radio Times if you fancy making your own Sarah Lund knitwear.
ETA Anniebead has kindly given me permission to use some of her photos.

Congratulations. I’m not surprised you sold loads – your cards are ace.
I haven’t started watching The Killing series 2 yet but I bet I want to knit that jumper by the end of the first episode.

Stitched Together
I am currently watching season one in marathon style format. I watched the US version and loved it so much I decided to record the original when it was rerun. Now I need to watch all of season one before I can start in on the second one. I am SO enjoying it. By the way – of course people bought your cards at £1 each. You are totally underpricing yourself. I wouldn’t expect to pay less than £2.75 for a hand made card, especially ones as nice as yours!

So glad to see you back on your blog and cheers to you for taking part in the charity craft sale. Your cards are lovely and I’m not surprised at all that you had buyers. I think people know when to appreciate high-quality, hand-made work and yours are so special.
